WaSaTcH BaCk 2010

Another awesome Ragnar Relay! We had such a great weekend. The running that I did is seriously some of the hardest running I have EVER done, yet I have already regiestered a team for next year... I LOVE IT! I have met some of the greatest people through this relay and have really pushed myself to do things (like run over 7 miles on trails in the mountains when I thought I was only running just over 5 on pavement, that's after being awake for 30+ hours AND already running close to 10 miles, most of which was uphill!) Sounds fun, doesn't it??? :) Crossing that finish line it the best feeling ever...we sure deserved those metals! I swore I would not run again for a week when we got done, well, it's been 3 days and I was walking pretty good today so my running clothes are laying out for a run in the morning. :) If you ever get a chance to run this relay, do it. If you ever get the chance to volunteer at this relay, do it...you'll be so glad you did!

Van 1: Shelly, Jacci, Jackie, Me, Sara and Kim Ready to start running!
Most of our team meeting up at the 1st exchange. Van 1 was ready to turn the running over to us for awhile
86 degrees and hills do NOT make a good combination when running!
Sporting our refelctive vests. Our van was "lucky" enough to be running from 1am-9am
Day 2: still no sleep, feeling the temperature getting hotter and hotter, knowing we weren't even going to start running again until the afternoon
Me and Jackie - met running Ragnar 3 years ago and I just love her!
SO happy that Sara has run with us the last 2 years...we've been friends our entire lives!
Killing time :)
Kim doing cartwheels in the middle of the road trying to get Sara through her last run, blisters and all!
More hills...more heat...seriously!

Riding the gondola up to the finish line at the Canyons resort
Waiting for our last runner so we could all cross the finish line together!
Final time: 33 hours, 7 minutes and 20 seconds!

Partying at the Finish Line
Home at last...had been up 39 hours and had run 17 miles! Needless to say, slept AWESOME that night!

Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day this year. We visited our dads graves and went up American Fork canyon for a Peck family reunion. My kids LOVE to go to the canyon, we are so close I'm not sure why we don't do it more. We sure miss our dads - things just aren't the same without them around.

Cute little hiker Vaughn was wishing about now that he wouldn't have picked such a steep trail!

Go Ashton!

School's OUT!

YEAH!! I know it doesn't look much like summer out there but it's got to warm up soon, right?? We're so excited for SUMMER! It's been such a fun week for Cole - my soon-to-be 2nd GRADER!!! Field day was awesome! Cole won 1st place at the 50 yard dash - he's pretty proud to be the fastest 1st grader! :) I was helping out for field day and got to watch...I was SO nervous!! He got a ribbon at an assembly in front of the whole school so that was pretty exciting for him. Today, we had tons of fun - Nicole and her boys picked us up with "School's out for Summer" blasting in the car! We drove around town with the windows down - the kids thought that was pretty cool! We played Laser Tag, got lunch, played at the park and played at Nicole's...I think all of my kids will sleep well tonight! I'm SO happy to have my kids home all summer long. Now all we need is some sunshine! :)

Getting ready to RUN!

GO COLE!!

BIG weekend!

We sure had a lot to celebrate this past weekend...first of all, preschool GRADUATION!! I can't believe that the year is done. I had such great kids this year, I was sad to see it come to an end. Graduation turned out so great! The kids (and their parents) loved their scrapbooks...they were pretty darn cute! Talk about a lot of work but so worth it. :) Ashton has officially graduated from preschool and is excited for Kindergarten, I can't believe he's that old! He did an awesome job...way to go Ashton! After graduation we went out for ice cream to celebrate!

Ashton is the 5th one in on the top row (if you couldn't find him!)

We also got to celebrate Vaughn's birthday too! We had breakfast in bed and a fun BBQ with our good friends.

Favorite gift: 2 season tickets to U of U football :)
Birthday hugs for dad!

My cute friends!
Wahoo Birthday Boy...don't let those candles fool you - he's a little older than 22, just ran out of candles!

Last but not least the SURVIVOR finale! We've had Survivor nights with friends since our Michigan days. They started off with me and Vaughn, Adam and Tina, and Courtney and AJ. Then we had Cole, Courtney had JJ, Tina had Jason and Survivor nights got much crazier but we kept watching. When we moved to Utah, we found more Survivor friends and we are very outnumbered by the kids but the kids all love to watch it too! What a great show!
