Our newest project
So, I did it...I finally talked Vaughn into finishing our basement! I am SO excited!! I'm excited for all of our toys to be in one place, not strung throughout the entire house! I'm excited for an entire storage room full of shelves to get more organized. I am excited to be able to send the kids to the basement and know they are not going to freeze. BUT, I'm MOST excited that our preschool is moving here starting next year! WAHOO! I can't wait to not have to pack up half of my house, my kids, lesson stuff, lunch, snacks, everything Cole needs for kindergarten and haul it all to my sister Mandi's house every preschool day! It is going to be so great I can hardly wait! Here's a few pictures of the beginning stages.
As you can see, the kids love to go down and check out the progress each night!

Valentine's Day
We had a fun Valentine's Day this year. We decided that we go out enough, leaving the kids at home, so we wanted to celebrate Valentine's with them this year. We made pizza and had a fun candlelight dinner. It's so fun to see the kids SO excited about little things. Me and Jenna got flowers from Vaughn for Valentine's Day. Jenna LOVED her flower. It didn't even make it through one day because she took it with her EVERYWHERE she went - it was so cute!! Hope your Valentine's was great too!
"Thanks for the flower daddy!"

Where did THAT come from!!!
Okay, am I a bad mom or what!! Vaughn was talking to Cole tonight and stopped and said "what's in your mouth?" He told Cole to come show me (Cole was getting a little nervous) and I can't believe what I found!!

How did I miss that??? His baby tooth isn't even loose!! I only worked in the dental field for, oh, 7 years and I didn't even notice his permanent tooth growing in. I guess we'll be calling the dentist tomorrow - poor Cole! Vaughn has informed me tonight that he remembers getting almost all of his baby teeth pulled because they never loosened up on their own. Not a question I thought to ask before I married him...oh-well, you win some and you lose some!

GO Steelers!
What a fun night we had! We invited some friends over for a Superbowl party. We were so happy that the Steelers won - we were the only ones at our party rooting for them. We broke out our "Terrible Towels" and everything. When we lived in Pittsburgh, we went to a Monday Night Football game and a lady I worked with gave them to me before the game and told me that I couldn't go to a Steelers game without them! We ate lots and lots and lots and lots of good food and had a fun night. The kids had a blast too - we love our neighborhood and the great people who live here!

The last play of the game - Steelers WON! Notice Vaughn is the only one in this picture that looks very happy about that!! You have to click on the picture to see the expression on everyone's face - too funny!
