American Fork Canyon

We've been trying to go up to the canyon for weeks now - between crazy schedules and crazy weather it took us awhile, but we finally made it and had so much fun! We are so lucky to have mountains so close. I remember living back east and coming home to visit and just staring at the mountains - I didn't realize how much I missed them. We really should take advantage of being so close - but life is busy and if we can get up there once a year that's pretty good for us. The kids had SO much fun there! They loved the river, the fire, finding treasures, everything about it! I can't believe how cool it got as the night went on - fall is definitely in the air!! Vaughn's mom and little sister came with us - we had a good dinner and a ton of fun!

B.U.S.Y.

Wow!! I cannot believe how busy my life has become!! Sorry to my friends who's calls haven't been returned, sorry to e-mails that haven't been responded to...I promise one day I'll get to it, although it may be Christmas break by the time it happens!!! I am loving preschool - I've got such cute kids this year, I'm loving having it in my house but it sure takes up a lot of time! My sister Mandi and I have always taught together, but she had a baby in the summer and has had crazy family things going on so I'm teaching all 3 classes by myself for now, she'll come back to help out with one class starting in December and I already can't wait! It's so much more fun doing it with her. The other day I just had to laugh at how crazy my day was...I had a short day of preschool from 9:15-11:45, my sis-in-law came over at 12:00 to take me to pick up my car from getting an oil change (it had been there for 3 days because I hadn't had a chance to pick it up sooner) then we had lunch and I started cooking for our dinner group that night (meals for 4 families) pick up carpool at 2:15, homework and piano practice until 3:00, finish dinners, Ashton to a birthday party at 4:00, Cole to piano at 4:30, Cole picked-up at 5:00, Ashton picked up at 5:30, Cole soccer game at 5:30 that I had to miss because I had to deliver dinners to 3 other families at 6:00, fed my family at 6:30, cleaned up the messy kitchen until 7:30 (I'm so messy when I cook so when I cook for 4 families I swear it's 4 times messier) get kids ready and into bed, 8:30 starting getting ready for 2 preschool classes for the next day! AHHHH!!! That was the longest sentence ever! So, don't be surprised to see summer pictures that never got posted pop up on my blog over the next month...I'm a little behind in everything right now! As for my house, it's never been cleaner...since the preschool kids have to come in the front door and then down to the basement I have to have my kitchen/family room/living roon/dining room clean every morning by the time preschool starts. Good times! I hope I don't look back on this time of my life and only remember a big blur....but it wouldn't surprise me! :)

Preschool

It's been quite the day getting everything ready for Preschool to start tomorrow! I'm SO excited to have our preschool in my house now. :) It's been so much fun finishing our basement and getting the preschool room ready. It's going to be one BUSY year with lots of classes and lots of kids but I'm excited - bring it on!
